coaching program

WSSC coaches will work on your riding in a safe, relaxed environment. We group our campers in small groups of about 6 based on ability and goals so everyone gets to progress in a attitude-free, non-intimidating atmosphere. No matter what your ability and comfort level, there are people here learing the same things. In your small group setting, your coach will stick by you and give you as much coaching as you want and you can take off and go freeriding at any time. Your coach will work with you on the features you want to master and focus on your individual goals. So if it’s an introduction to the terrain park, working on basic spins and straight airs or competion level riding, we have a group for your ability and no one will make fun of you for not wearing your pants low enough or doing a tindy.

We welcome ALL levels including beginners and first timers.

At Whistler Summer Snowboard Camps you will have the opportunity to ride with some of the most talented coaches in the world. Although we employ top international pro-riders and Olympic athletes, every coach that works for us is fully certified and dedicated to ensuring that each camper gets the most from their time here.

You can ride until 3:00 PM , and the earlier you are up on the glacier each morning, the more coaching and riding you can get.

RICK WUNDERLICH: Rick is originally from Sweden and moved to Whistler to further his career as a pro-rider. As a former international competitor, Rick now coaches full time and in the winter is one of the top-coaches for the Whistler Valley Snowboard Club. He rides for Option Snowboards, and throws-down like nothing else.


KEVIN HOLE: Voted Privates Instructor Of The Year at the Whistler/Blackcomb Ski and Snowboard School - which has a school of over 1000 instructors. Kevin's extensive experience and certification makes him one of the most amazing guys to ride with and learn from. Kevin rides for Nitro Snowboards.


JEVON UPTON: If you have been lucky enough to have already met Jevon, you'll remember him for his unbelievable energy and humor. Jevon is an amazing rider, and exudes so much personality that you'll smile every time you see him. Jevon has his own rail-designing company, D-RAILED Industries, and we were lucky enough to have him design and build all our rails.



ANDY CANTELONE: Andy throws down like nothing else. This is why he is constantly the places top in all the slope-style events in which he competes. He has an incredible disposition that just makes kids stick to him like a magnet. Andy rides for local snowboard company, PRIOR SNOWBOARDS.
